He develops a pulmonary hypertensive crisis, with decreasing oxygen saturation, elevated heart rate and decreasing blood pressure. The participant will be expected to recognize that the patient is at high risk for a pulmonary hypertensive crisis and provide therapies to decrease pulmonary vascular resistance. If they only provide volume or inotropy, and fail to recognize the underlying issue, the patient will progress to cardiac arrest.
