Tactical Combat Casualty Care Training in the U.S. Military: A Comparative Cost Assessment Between Virtual Reality Simulation and Traditional Simulation (2026). This study found that SimX VR reduced per-learner costs by nearly 90% and decreased total training time by 74% compared with traditional manikin-based simulation. The findings highlight VR’s potential to serve as a scalable complement to traditional simulation, improving training efficiency while expanding access to scenario-based medical training.
