Do I need to connect to wifi to run SimX?

Yes, you must connect to Wi-Fi to use SimX. SimX-compatible VR headsets and the associated computers or laptops require an active internet connection for access and functionality.

Software

Can multiple users run SimX at the same time?

Yes, multiple users can run SimX simultaneously, provided that there is sufficient hardware support. We recommend having 2 headsets for every 1 computer or laptop to ensure smooth performance and optimal user experience.

Are scenario(s) multiplayer? If so, how many users can be in one scenario at a time?

Yes, our scenarios are designed for multiplayer interaction. For the best experience, we recommend having 4-5 users in one scenario at a time.

Can multiple players interact with each other within the same scenario?

Absolutely! In our scenarios, users can communicate and collaborate with one another in order to successfully conquer the challenges of each scenario.

Can you have multiple players in the same scenario when they are in different physical locations?

Yes, with SimX, instructors, learners, and observers can work through the same cases with the same patients from various locations worldwide.

Can you run SimX without a moderator? Why do you need a moderator?

No, SimX requires a moderator. In SimX, real-time interactions are crucial to enhance user engagement and experience. Unlike other simulations with drop-down menus, SimX immerses users in scenarios without such aids. The moderator component plays a vital role in assisting facilitators to track user performance and ensures the integrity of the simulation by controlling the scenario.
