It’s the end of the year, and we have a lot to celebrate here at SimX! 2023 marks 10 years since our founding in 2013, and it was another year of innovation and growth. Our partnerships with new and persisting SimX customers are vital to our success. To showcase these partnerships, here are a few major milestones from 2023.

SimX Partners with Top U.S. Hospitals

Every year, the U.S. News and World Report ranks the top hospitals in the nation to help guide patients when they need care; “the best hospitals honor roll highlights hospitals that excel across most or all types of care evaluated by U.S. News.”

We can now say that  8 of the top 15 hospitals recognized in the U.S. News Best Hospitals Honor Roll for 2023 are active customers of the SimX Virtual Reality Medical Simulation System (VRMSS):

  • Barnes-Jewish Hospital
  • Cleveland Clinic
  • University of Pennsylvania-Penn Presbyterian
  • Mayo Clinic
  • New York-Presbyterian Hospital
  • Northwestern Medicine-Northwestern Memorial Hospital
  • NYU Langone Hospitals
  • Stanford Health Care-Stanford Hospital

SimX VRMSS users include physicians, nurses, residents, EMS personnel, and many other healthcare providers across various specialties all over the country. Compared to traditional manikin-based simulation training, the VRMSS is set up and launched in minutes, making it both easy and cost-effective to train medical staff. We are so grateful for our partnerships with these incredible institutions.

SimX and Laerdal Expand the Impact of VR Medical Simulation Training

Earlier this year, Laerdal Medical, a leader in patient simulation, and SimX announced a partnership to help increase patient safety with VR simulation training. Under this partnership, Laerdal became a main distributor of the SimX virtual reality simulation platform for hospitals, EMS, and government customers in the U.S. and Canada.

“This collaboration represents the next evolution of VR simulation expansion,” said Ryan Ribeira, CEO and founder of SimX. “Between the SimX expertise in VR and Laerdal’s credibility and market presence, we truly believe the sky is the limit in making an impact on patient care through this immersive healthcare provider training.”

Both Laerdal and SimX are leading members of the healthcare simulation industry. Partnering with Laerdal Medical is an opportunity to expand our reach while advancing learning, improving patient safety, and saving lives.
