Scenario Description

This Simulated Patient Encounter maps to Scenario FUN 11 – Kyle Miller – Basic Assessment and Care Management on the Elsevier Evolve Platform

Kyle Miller, a 41-year-old Caucasian male, was admitted for a low-grade fever and cellulitis of the forearm secondary to a recent puncture wound. Antibiotics were administered and the affected area was cleaned and covered. Kyle’s temperature has since returned to baseline and he is slated for a discharge to home. During this scenario, learners must conduct a basic nursing assessment while managing and prioritizing care and communication.
