Carl Rogers is a 67-year-old African American male with a history of type I diabetes mellitus. He was directly admitted from his provider’s office to the medical unit with a stage II non-healing ulcer on his right heel. During this scenario, learners must plan, prioritize, and manage care for a diabetic patient.
