Scenario Description

30-year-old female named Eleanor is found in the community agitated and brought to the emergency department by EMS. Medical history is unknown. The RNs and APRNs will work together with an interdisciplinary approach to de-escalate the client.

Learning Objectives

– The Learner engages in the process of de-escalation

– The Learner demonstrates awareness and promotion of environmental safety for the RN and the patient

– The intraprofessional (RN and APRN) team completes a focused assessment/physical assessment as able on the patient with agitation
