Aaron Jackson, a 9-month-old Caucasian male with a history of Hirschsprung’s disease, underwent surgery for aganglionic colon segment removal with temporary colostomy placement. The plan of care includes pain management for the infant and ostomy care education for the parents. During this scenario, learners must prioritize and manage care for an infant with a new ostomy.
