Pediatric Tonsil and Adenoid

Ricky Stone is an 8-year-old African American male that arrived at the emergency department with his mom. He is seven days postoperative from a tonsil and adenoidectomy. Today, he vomited at home and filled a bowl of clotted blood. After the initial examination, learners are expected to articulate pertinent findings to the care provider and team. They must then use assertive communication to communicate with the physician and create a plan of care based on findings of the history and physical exam.
