Virtual Manikin™ — Organ Donor Medical Management

In partnership with: SimX

Book Demo

Scenario Description

Set in an intensive care unit (ICU) environment, participants will manage a mechanically-ventilated patient being sustained for organ procurement. The scenario includes options for diverse adult body types, including a larger body build to reflect realistic patient care challenges. This Virtual Manikin allows the full customization over many features of the simulation, including vital signs, lab values, physical exam findings, and imaging results. Educators can use the “presets” feature to instantly transition between clinical states and craft their own simulation scenarios. Educators can combine this with the ability to upload their own custom media for inclusion in the EMR tablet, creating opportunities to build countless novel patient-care experiences.

2. Identify and treat common complications of brain death, specifically Diabetes Insipidus (DI) and electrolyte imbalances, through appropriate pharmacologic intervention and fluid replacement.
