Mary Bailey is a 30-year-old Caucasian female at 16 weeks’ gestation. Her midwife identified persistent vomiting, weight loss, and signs and symptoms of dehydration. Mary was directly admitted to the inpatient unit with hyperemesis gravidarum and dehydration. During this scenario, learners must assess and implement nursing interventions for a pregnant patient.
