Scenario Description

A 27-year-old male presents to the chiropractor clinic with low back and right lower extremity pain. The learner will assess the patient with an organized chiropractic evaluation and look through the x-rays available in the EMR. Exams will consist of a range of motion, neuro, orthopedic, and palpation tests including maneuvers such as reflexes, heel walk, straight leg raise, and observing gait. Finally, the learner will select a diagnosis from their original differential and counsel the patient on a diagnostic and therapeutic plan.

– Perform an assessment of a patient presenting with lower back pain and lower extremity pain
– Conduct a range of motion, neuro, orthopedic, and palpation examination
– Determine a differential diagnosis based on history and physical
