Case Description

In this skills module, the Learner will be setting up the back table of an operating room. This will involve setting up several sterile surfaces, opening items onto these sterile surfaces, and eventually arranging them into the appropriate locations while maintaining sterile technique.

Learning Objectives

1. Demonstrate the correct technique for opening items onto sterile surfaces while preserving sterility throughout the back table setup process.
2. Position all sterile instruments and supplies into their correct functional zones on the back table.
3. Assess the final arrangement of instruments and supplies on the back table to ensure that they meet the sterile setup requirements and are organized for efficient surgical workflow.
