Danica Crowley, a 31-year-old Caucasian female at 37 weeks’ gestation, was admitted to labor and delivery. Labor lasted 22 hours and butorphanol was administered 30 minutes before delivery. The scenario begins with the birth of the newborn. During this scenario, learners must assess and manage care for a newborn experiencing an emergent situation.
